Earlier this week, the Michigan State Spartans got some exciting news as 2020 prospect Mady Sissoko announced that he would be committing to the program. The exciting development comes as Tom Izzo and the Spartans prepare to enter what many think will be a massive season in East Lansing.
Maddy Sissoko no.36 in the ESPN is going to play for Tom Izzo & Michigan State next year. This is a tremendous recruit for @MSU_Basketball, as Sissoko beats you with athletic ability, effort and an endless motor! Owns a chiseled frame at 6’9” 225+!!

Sissoko is listed as 6-foot-9 and 230 pounds by 247Sports and comes out of Mount Pleasant, Utah. Along with Michigan State, he also had offers from programs including BYU, Colorado, and Kansas among others. He is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports and as the top player in the state.
With Jalen Terry already committed in the 2020 class and players like Malik Hall and Rocket Watts arriving with the 2019 class, Michigan State figures to have a pretty talented group of players for the next few seasons. Sissoko could really offer a great boost inside and continue the program’s recent run of quality big men.
Izzo and his staff still have their work cut out for the 2020 class, but Spartans fans have to be excited about bringing Sissoko into the fold.
