Earlier this week, the Penn State Nittany Lions got some exciting news as 2020 prospect Dallion Johnson announced that he would be committing to the program. The exciting development comes as Pat Chambers enters a pivotal season.
Excited to announce my commitment to Penn State University!! Thanks to God, my family, friends, teammates & coaches for believing in me. Thrilled to join the Penn State family under the coaching of Pat Chambers and staff. #WeAre #ClimbWithUs ‼️⚪️ pic.twitter.com/k4556Ed7y6

Johnson is listed as 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds by 247Sports and comes out of Andover, Massachusetts. Along with Penn State, he also had offers from programs including Boston College, Brown, and Davidson among others. The recruiting site has him rated as a three-star prospect and the top player in the state.
With Jamari Wheeler and Daniil Kasatkin already on the roster, Johnson should also get at least a year or two to develop before asking to contribute significantly for the team. That should be a major plus as he moves from the northeast into a competitive Big Ten.
Chambers and his staff still have their work cut out for the 2020 class, but Nittany Lion fans have to be excited about bringing Johnson into the fold.
