The 2019 NBA Draft took place on Thursday night and while Matt McQuaid of the Michigan State Spartans wasn’t fortunate enough to hear his name called, he has now earned a deal with the Detroit Pistons. It’s exciting news for the Spartan guard.
The Detroit Pistons have agreed to a deal with former Michigan State Spartans guard Matt McQuaid, a league source told @TheAthleticNBA.

McQuaid spent four seasons with the Spartans and averaged a solid 9.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game last year. Michigan State was able to make the postseason in each of his years with the program and made the Final Four last March after knocking off Duke in the Elite Eight.
