The 2019 NBA Draft took place on Thursday night and Bruno Fernando of the Maryland Terrapins was fortunate enough to hear his name called. He was selected at No. 34 by the Atlanta Hawks and will now head down south. Please note that this pick was traded from the Philadelphia 76ers.
Fernando spent two seasons with the Terps and helped lead the team to a Round of 32 appearance last March. In his final season with the program, Fernando finished averaging an impressive 13.6 points and 10.6 rebounds per game. The Terps were only a few buckets away from making the Sweet 16 as well.
Fans have to be excited about what’s to come for Fernando. Stay tuned to BTPowerhouse to stay updated on Fernando’s path to the pros.
