After the recent fire of Head Coach Tim Miles and new hire of Head Coach Fred Hoiberg, Husker Nation has officially embraced the reconstructing Hoiberg is looking to bring to the Nebraska Cornhuskers next season.
Some of Hoiberg’s biggest supporters are the students of the University of Nebraska. Student basketball tickets have already sold out for the Huskers marking the earliest sellout date since the 2015-16 season.
Nicknamed “The Vault,” the Nebraska student section is ready to see a new wave of basketball come to Lincoln with Hoiberg leading the charge.
“Having a strong student section is important in building a home-court advantage, and today’s announcement shows how excited Husker students are for the upcoming season.” Hoiberg said in a press release by Nebraska Athletics. “Our team’s goal is to work hard and give our students and fans a product they can be proud of.”
Hoiberg has already landed four transfer players for next season and sits with the third best recruiting class in the Big Ten. Last year, under Miles, the Huskers sat dead last in the Big Ten in recruiting.
Hoiberg and the Cornhuskers open up their season against Doane University October 30th from Pinnacle Bank Arena.
