After receiving good news of Cordell Pemsl’s return from injury through his grant of a Hardship Waiver Petition, the Iowa Hawkeyes may be on the verge of losing another player to injury.
Iowa’s starting point guard and third leading scorer Jordan Bohannon will undergo a hip scope on Wednesday.
The incoming senior guard developed this injury early during last year’s season, but was able to play through it and manage any major side effects. Bohannan tried numerous methods to try and minimize the injury, but after rest and rehab didn’t help much, coaches and doctors decided surgery would be the best option.
The timetable on Bohannan’s return is still unknown, but it is obvious both Bohannan and Head Coach Fran McCaffery will look to start the process as soon as possible to salvage as much as Bohannan’s senior season as they can.
Bohannan will be continuously be reevaluated as he goes through rehab during the summer and fall.
