The Big Ten only had one game on Friday night and it ended in dramatic fashion. Indiana went on the road hoping to pull off an upset against the Hawkeyes. The game ultimately went into overtime.

Let’s take a look at what happened.

Game of the Day:

-No. 21 Iowa Hawkeyes 76, Indiana Hoosiers 70 (OT)

Heading into this game, both teams were hoping to come out with a win in a game that had lost much of its allure after the recent struggles of the Hoosiers. Still, Iowa was hoping to keep things rolling and Indiana wanted to get back on track.

Early on, the two teams kept things tied. In fact, both were tied heading into halftime. And not much changed as the game continued. The two teams ended up going into overtime thanks to a big play late from Jordan Bohannon. In overtime, Iowa got the win thanks to Bohannon and Tyler Cook.

The Hawkeyes improved to 21-6 overall with the win and 10-6 in Big Ten play. It was also the team’s fifth win in its last six games dating back to an upset against a rolling Michigan team in early February. Iowa will return to action on the road against Ohio State on Tuesday.

On the other side, Indiana drops another one to fall below .500 for the first time this season. What once looked like it was going to be a wonderful season now projects to end without a postseason bid. The Hoosiers will hope to rebound against Wisconsin at home on Tuesday.
