The Big Ten only had one game on Monday night, which featured Rutgers hosting an underwhelming Caldwell College squad at home. The Scarlet Knights were hoping to escape with a solid win and avoid a letdown.
Let’s take a look at what happened.
Game of the Night:
-Rutgers Scarlet Knights 94, Caldwell College Cougars 49
Things largely went according to plan for Rutgers on Monday night. The Scarlet Knights jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. When all was said and done, Rutgers cruised to a 94-49 win thanks to 23 points from Jacob Young.
The win pushed Rutgers to 10-3 overall and gave the team its fourth win in a row, including two wins over top 40 opponents. Rutgers continues to be one of the brighter stories in the Big Ten so far this season. The Scarlet Knights will get back into action this week against Nebraska on the road on Friday.
