The top team in the nation got some bad news today when head coach Tom Izzo announced that guard Joshua Langford is out indefinitely after re-aggravating last season’s foot injury.

The news today has Langford set to miss the non-conference stretch and at least a part of conference play as the team will not re-evaluate Langford until January.
Langford was set to be the starting shooting guard for a Michigan State team looking to bring home a national title this season. Langford went down in December last year and only played 13 games, but had resumed basketball activities and was expected to be ready to go for the season. He averaged 15 points per game while shooting 40.3% from three last year before being sidelined for the season.
Keep it coming, Izzo says Kyle Ahrens sprained his ankle in the Gonzaga scrimmage but should be back next week

Izzo also announced that Kyle Ahrens suffered a minor injury in the team's secret scrimmage against Gonzaga, likely keeping him out for about a week. That news could be troubling as Ahrens will likely help fill in for Langford.
It was a rough day for Michigan State, even more so as the team will need to come out swinging in two weeks when they open the season against Kentucky at Madison Square Garden.
