Recap all the Big Ten action from Friday.

The Big Ten only had one game on Friday, but it was a big one between Indiana and Michigan in Bloomington. The Wolverines were 18-1 coming into the game and a reeling Hoosier squad was hoping to pull off the upset.

Let’s take a look at what happened.

Game of the Day:

-No. 5 Michigan Wolverines 69, Indiana Hoosiers 46

Despite the fact that KenPom projected this to be a relatively competitive game, it was all but over through 10 minutes. Michigan jumped out to a 17-0 lead over the Hoosiers and never looked back. Indiana had a few moments in the second half where it made things interesting, but the Hoosiers never were in a position to win. All told, Michigan ended up grabbing the 69-46 road win.

For Michigan, this was a return to form for the Wolverines. The team had been inconsistent over the last few weeks and really come out in impressive fashion on Friday. With the win, Michigan improved to 19-1 on the season and 8-1 in Big Ten play. Ignas Brazdeikis was particularly impressive with 20 points and seven rebounds on the night.

On the other side, Hoosier fans were left to wonder about Indiana and the future of the program moving forward. The team still has time to get back on track, but Friday marked the team’s sixth straight loss overall and its sixth straight loss to Michigan. More simply put, time is running out for Indiana to get things back on track this season.

Moving forward, Michigan will get arch-rival Ohio State at home on Tuesday night and Indiana will get Rutgers on the road on Wednesday.
