The Hoosiers get some good news.

The Indiana Hoosiers got some exciting news earlier this week when news broke that Juwan Morgan would be foregoing the 2018 NBA Draft and returning to school. He had previously declared for the Draft without an agent, but fans now know that he will be back once again.

Morgan has played three seasons with the Hoosiers and grown in each season. He was initially a role player, expanded into a more significant role in his second season, and became a legitimate star option last year. In fact, he averaged an impressive 16.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game during the 2017-’18 season.

The biggest asset that Morgan consistently brings to the floor is his efficiency. He had a 118.8 offensive rating last season and was a dominant force on the boards. In fact, Morgan posted an impressive 10.7 offensive rebounding rate, ranking sixth in the league. He also brought it on the defensive side of the floor, protecting the rim and pressuring ball handlers over the course of the season. He is truly a two-way player.

There’s no debating that this is great news for Hoosier fans. With Morgan back in the fold, Indiana now has the chance to have two legitimate stars in him and Romeo Langford. Add in De’Ron Davis and plenty of returning depth and there are a lot of reasons to be excited about the Archie Miller era in Bloomington.

Whether Indiana can achieve its goals next season with Morgan back in the fold remains to be seen, but fans have to be excited about what’s on the horizon.
