While college basketball is deep in the midst of its offseason, some interesting news broke regarding the Ohio State Buckeyes earlier this week from Jon Rothstein. He reported that Ohio State would be heading overseas this summer for its foreign trip and would be playing in Spain at some point in August.
Ohio State will take a foreign tour to Spain in August, per a source. Official dates and times are TBD.

Not every collegiate team is allowed to participate in a foreign trip, but basketball teams are generally allowed a trip every four years. There, teams will compete against foreign opponents and, hopefully, fine tune their game for the upcoming season.
There’s no debating that this should be exciting news for Buckeye fans. The team is losing some major contributors from last season and will need some time to gel before hitting the ground running next season. Playing in Spain should help in that process.
Ohio State will also be adding one of the better recruiting classes in the Big Ten for next season, ranked 24th nationally by 247Sports. The Buckeyes will be a young group in Chris Holtmann’s second year with the program and a head start won’t hurt things.
