On Thursday, the Nebraska Cornhuskers got some exciting news as 2018 guard Amir Harris announced that he would be committing to the program. He joins what figures to be an intriguing 2018 class for the Huskers.

Harris comes out of Hagerstown, Maryland and was viewed as one of the better players from the region. In fact, 247Sports ranked Harris as the 11th best prospect in the state and as a three-star prospect overall. He is listed at 6-foot-5 and 170 pounds by the site as well.
With his addition, Nebraska now has three players in its 2018 class. None of the three commitments are necessarily high-profile recruits, but all have solid potential. Each should also provide valuable depth to a Husker team that looks poised to be pretty deep and talented heading into next season, depending on a few NBA Draft decisions.
No one can be sure how Harris will progress once he arrives at Nebraska, but Husker fans should be excited about adding another talented piece to the roster.
