The top ranked unsigned senior finally chose his school for 2018, with five-star shooting guard Romeo Langford committing to the Hoosiers on the last day of April. The 6’5” guard chose Indiana over Kansas and Vanderbilt.
Langford was a McDonald All-American and Indiana’s Mr. Basketball, while being listed as the sixth best prospect in 2018 (second best shooting guard) according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
The five-star prospect joins a class that includes four-star commits Damezi Anderson, Jerome Hunter, Robert Phinisee and three-star forward Jake Forrester. With his addition, 247Sports now lists Indiana with the 9th best 2018 class in the nation and only trailing Maryland in the Big Ten. It will give the Hoosiers a strong recruiting class as they try to return to the NCAA Tournament in 2019.
While Langford is a major get for the Hoosiers, it looks like Langford could be another one-and-done. ESPN recently posted their mock draft for 2019, with the site projecting Langford to go fifth.
Regardless of how long Langford stays in Bloomington, his commitment is a major get for Archie Miller as he enters his second season as the Hoosiers head coach.
