The AP poll was released on Monday for week two of the season and three Big Ten teams were fortunate enough to make the cut. While the league has not be particularly well regarded so far this year, it did have a solid representation.
Here is where the Big Ten landed:
Week Two AP Poll:
- No. 11 - Michigan State
- No. 18 - Michigan
- No. 23 - Purdue
- Receiving Votes: Indiana (27th); Nebraska (28th); Wisconsin (29th); Maryland (31st) ; Ohio State (36th)
Although the Big Ten only landed three teams within the top 25, there are clearly a plethora of teams right on the cusp. If the league can get a few big weeks here heading into the holidays, it’s not crazy to think that as many as six or seven teams could make the cut. Obviously, that would be great to see for the league going forward.
Either way, BTPowerhouse will continue to keep fans posted moving forward.
