Michigan got some exciting news on the recruiting front over the weekend as 2018 prospect Ignas Brazeikis committed to the Michigan Wolverines over a plethora of other offers. It’s a pickup that keeps momentum rolling for John Beilein.

Brazeikis comes out of Ontario, Canada and is rated as a four-star recruit and the No. 91 prospect in the 2018 recruiting class by 247Sports. He is listed as a small forward and the top player out of Ontario.

Along with attention from Michigan, Brazeikis also had offers from Baylor, California, Florida, Illinois, Oregon, and Vaderbilt among others. While he didn’t had the midwest offer sheet that his rankings would indicate, Brazeikis was still a major prospect that had more than a few great opportunities at the college level.

Brazeikis now joins what projects to be a talented 2018 recruiting class for the Wolverines that is ranked sixth nationally by 247Sports and third among Big Ten teams. All four of Michigan’s present 2018 commitments are top 200 prospects and two received impressive top 100 ratings.

With this commitment, Michigan has filled its scholarship charts for the 2018 recruiting cycle. However, with an entire season and another offseason between now and then, expect Beilein and his staff to continue recruiting. And that should keep Wolverine fans excited going forward.
