BTPowerhouse Is Looking For Writers

10Come join the best Big Ten basketball site on the interwebs.

NCAA Basketball: Big Ten Conference Tournament Final-Michigan vs Wisconsin Amber Searls-USA TODAY Sports

With the college basketball season just around the corner, we here at BTP are starting to expand our coverage going forward. The site has been growing like crazy and is moving in an exciting direction, but we still have more growing to do and as such, we are looking for qualified writers that can help produce content.

We are currently looking to add several writers to the staff. Anyone is open to apply for the site as long as they at least 18 years old. Experience and a writing background are not required, though preferred. Specifically, we are looking for someone that can contribute twice a week over the course of the college basketball season.

The position is an entry level writing position with the site. This is a chance to “get your foot in the door” in the writing world and have your opinion read by thousands of people around the midwest and country.

The requirements for our entry level writing positions are two written posts per week. Primarily, entry level writing positions will focus on recruiting coverage, game previews, and game recaps. However, we promote from within our own staff and are more than willing to allow writers discretion to choose some of their own topics.

I can't promise fame or fortune for joining the site, but I can promise the ability to reach a national audience and the ability to write about a topic that couldn’t be much more interesting. Basically, we can offer you the potential to get your name out there. We've had writers go on to write for Prep Hoops, the nation SBNation site, 247Sports, Today's U, and various team based SBNation sites.

If you are interested in applying. There is just one easy step. Email: tbeindit@gmail.com. We do ask for a writing sample (preferably Big Ten related), but feel free to email to get more information.

And finally, we look forward to hearing from you all!
