In case you were wondering if some people are getting excited for Big Ten basketball, Wisconsin is a perfect reminder as they managed to sell out their student section tickets in a mere 12 minutes. The 2,100 student tickets sold out for the 13th time in the last 16 seasons.
Wisconsin is coming off of an impressive year when it comes to attendance, with the Badgers leading the Big Ten in attendance this past season. The Badgers were also ranked sixth nationally and have led the Big Ten in 11 of the past 15 seasons. The combination of having a devout fan base mixed with one of the league’s top teams has created considerable demand when it comes to Wisconsin tickets.
While the student tickets sold out, it should be mentioned that single game tickets will be made available for the Badgers games during winter break. While three of those games include mid-major programs Green Bay, Chicago State and UMass-Lowell, there will be single game tickets available in January against Indiana and Illinois.
The Badgers tip off the season on the 10th of November against South Carolina State. Wisconsin’s non-conference slate will also include marquee matchups against Xavier and Marquette.
