The Michigan State Spartans got exciting news earlier this week as 2018 prospect Aaron Henry announced that he had committed to the program. This is another addition to what is looking like a loaded 2018 recruiting class for the Spartans.

Henry is listed at 6-foot-5 and 200 pounds and is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports. He comes out of Indianapolis, Indiana and averaged 14.2 points and 6.6 rebounds for Ben Davis last season.

Along with his Michigan State offer, Henry had offers from Butler, Indiana, Nebraska, Ohio State, UConn, and Xavier among others. Simply put, he could have gone to just about any major program in the midwest.

With his commitment, Michigan State now has five players in its 2018 recruiting class, including two top 100 prospects in Marcus Bingham and Gabe Brown. This class is currently ranked fourth nationally by 247Sports.

Henry won’t boast the five-star ratings that fans might want to see, but he’s a solid prospect with plenty of potential at the collegiate level. If he can hit the ground running and develop under Tom Izzo, he could be a player to watch in the coming seasons.
