Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson has recently organized an effort to help victims of Hurricane Harvey. Sampson, who previously coached at Indiana, has been attempting to get coaches to donate shirts and shoes for victims to help people in the area.

One of the schools to answer Sampson’s call for action was Nebraska, with the program sending over plenty of gear for Sampson’s clothing drive.

The clothing drive initiated by Sampson has spread across the country, with numerous basketball programs helping out. As reported by Yahoo’s Pete Thamel, it’s estimated that Houston will receive 10,000 shirts and around 2,000 pairs of shoes:
And in a little over 24 hours they’d received promises of packages coming from more than 450 different schools, businesses and organizations from all of the Lower 48 U.S. states. Kellen Sampson, an assistant coach at Houston, estimates they’ll receive 10,000 T-Shirts and up to 2,000 pairs of shoes.
