Indiana’s roll continued on Monday as the program picked up its third commitment in less than 24 hours. Archie Miller and his staff got the good news that 2018 prospect Damezi Anderson would be committing to the Indiana Hoosiers over a plethora of other programs.

Anderson comes out of South Bend, Indiana and is rated as a four-star and the No. 91 player in the nation by 247Sports. The site also lists him at 6-foot-6 and 175 pounds and projects him to play small forward at the next level.
Along with Indiana, Anderson had offers from DePaul, New Mexico, Purdue, and UConn among others. He didn’t quite have the offer sheet to match his impressive national ratings, but he had more than his fair share of major programs with interest. Simply put, this was a significant recruiting win for Miller and his staff.
With Anderson in the fold, Indiana now has three commitments in its 2018 recruiting class, though Race Thompson is expected to reclassify to 2017. According to 247Sports, that puts the class at No. 2 in the Big Ten and No. 4 nationally. It’s still early, but that’s incredibly impressive for what projects to be Miller’s first recruiting class. If he can keep up this momentum, things should be exciting for Bloomington in the future.
Indiana may still have some work to do to get back on the top of college basketball, but fans have to be thrilled with how things are moving. The program looks like it could be headed for some great things with Miller at the helm.
