With the college basketball season about to wrap up, one of the topics that will continue to dominate fan discussion is each team’s pro potential. Well, DraftExpress recently updated its 2017 NBA mock draft, which stirred up plenty of intrigue.

The Big Ten found itself well represented with eight players making the cut, including a handful of First Round projections. Obviously, that speaks to just how exciting this season was for Big Ten fans.

Here’s a full look at the Big Ten players listed below.

Big Ten In 3/25 DraftExpress 2017 NBA Mock Draft:

  • #11 - Miles Bridges (Michigan State)
  • #15 - OG Anunoby (Indiana)
  • #28 - Caleb Swanigan (Purdue)
  • #39 - Thomas Bryant (Indiana)
  • #53 - Nigel Hayes (Wisconsin)
  • #55 - Malcolm Hill (Illinois)

There certainly was nothing surprising about seeing players like Bridges and Bryant make the list as both were two of the Big Ten’s best last season. Additionally, given Swanigan’s stellar season and Hill’s productive career, it wasn’t a shock to see both getting some love on the mock drafts.

However, perhaps no ranking was more interesting than Anunoby at No. 15. Although Anunoby showed some major flashes during the last two seasons, his overall production isn’t anywhere near any of the Big Ten’s other major prospects. This should make for an interesting discussion on potential vs production.

It was also interesting to see that Maryland’s Melo Trimble didn’t make the list. His decision could be one of the most significant in the Big Ten and to see him not even make the top 60 prospects could spell his return to the Terps.
