After a whirlwind season in the Big Ten, seven teams have earned tickets to the NCAA Tournament. Who are they and when are they playing?

-Maryland Terrapins
Heading in to this season, there were a lot of questions regarding Maryland. After strong play from the freshman and a great season from Melo Trimble, the Terrapins earned a 6-seed in the West and will face 11th-seeded Xavier in the first round. The game is set to take place in Orlando on March 16th at 6:50 pm ET. It will be broadcasted nationally on TNT.
-Michigan Wolverines
After an interesting start to the season, Michigan cashed their ticket to the Big Dance. Michigan had a whirlwind weekend, starting with a plane crash en route to the Big Ten Tournament. Michigan went on to win 4 games in four days to be crowned Big Ten Tournament Champions. The run in the Big Ten Tournament capped a great February and March for the team, where they only lost twice- to Northwestern on “The Play” and Minnesota. Michigan landed a 7-seed in the Big Dance and will face 10-seeded Oklahoma State on March 17th at 12:15 PM ET. The game will be broadcasted on CBS.
-Michigan State Spartans
Michigan State is dancing at at 9-seed after an up-and-down season decimated by injuries. For Tom Izzo, this will be his 20th consecutive year taking Michigan State to the Big Dance. They will play in the 8/9 game against Miami (Fl.) in the Midwest Region on March 17th. The game will take place at 9:20 ET in Tulsa and will be broadcasted on TNT.
-Minnesota Golden Gophers
Big Ten Coach of the Year Richard Pitino and the Gophers will be dancing in March. The Gophers earned the second-highest seed of all the teams in the Big Ten. They received a 5-seed after finishing fourth in the Big Ten. The Gophers will face Middle Tennessee State in Milwaukee on March 16 at 4:00 pm ET on TNT.
-Northwestern Wildcats
They’re Dancing! For the first time in program history, the school famously known for being the only Power 5 Conference school to never make the tournament will dance. After an exciting season, the Wildcats have earned an 8-seed in the West. They will head to Salt Lake City to face 9th-seeded Vanderbilt on March 16th at 4:30 ET.
-Purdue Boilermakers
The regular season Big Ten Champions are dancing. Purdue, who has the Big Ten Player of The Year in Caleb Swanigan, earned a 4-seed at the Big Dance. The Boilermakers will head to Milwaukee to face 13th-seeded Vermont on March 16th at 7:27 pm ET on TNT. They are the highest-seeded Big Ten Team this season.
-Wisconsin Badgers
The surprise of the evening came here. Wisconsin, who finished second in the Big Ten and made it to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals, Wisconsin was placed as an 8-seed in the East region. They will face 9th-seeded Virginia Tech on March 16th in Buffalo. The game will be broadcasted on CBS at 9:40 ET.
