Abu Kigab is a four-star (according to 247Sports) 6-foot-7 wing in the class of 2017. The Ontario native plays his AAU basketball for UPLAY Canada while playing high school ball for Prolific Prep Academy in Napa, CA.

The announcement of Kigab’s final six came via a story with Corey Evans of Hoops Seen.

The story included that Kigab will make three official visits in the coming months; the Oregon Ducks on Sept. 10th, the Illinois Fighting Illini on Sept. 16th, and the Cal Golden Bears in Oct. 7th.

The Illini already have four verbal commitments for the class of 2017, with the latest addition coming via point guard Trent Frazier on Sunday. John Groce still has two open scholarships to work with this recruiting year.

Oregon is heavily favored to land Kigab, however. Though with Illinois getting one of three official visits, and Kigab visiting Champaign just six days after his trip to Eugene, Groce and company certainly have a chance.

Check out Kigab’s highlights below and be sure to check back with BT Powerhouse as his recruitment heats up in the coming weeks.
