The Big Ten's No. 6 seeded team in Indianapolis has now been selected to the 2016 NCAA Tournament and officially know their place in this year's bracket. The Wisconsin Badgers went 20-12 overall, 12-6 in Big Ten regular season play, and 0-1 in the Big Ten Tournament with a loss to Nebraska. Wisconsin was led by All-Big Ten team member Nigel Hayes, Big Ten Freshman of the Year Ethan Happ, and All-Big Ten third team member Bronson Koenig.
The Badgers were selected as a No. 7 seed in the East Region. They will face Pittsburgh in the Round of 64 with a potential matchup against Xavier or Weber State, if the Badgers advance.
