The Big Ten's No. 4 seeded team in Indianapolis has now been selected to the 2016 NCAA Tournament and officially know their place in this year's bracket. The Purdue Boilermakers went 26-8 overall, 12-6 in Big Ten regular season play, and 2-1 in the Big Ten Tournament with wins over Illinois and Michigan and a loss to Michigan State. Purdue was led by Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year AJ Hammons and All-Big Ten Honorable Mention player Vince Edwards.
The Boilermakers were selected as a No. 5 seed in the Midwest Region. They will face Little Rock in the Round of 64 with a potential matchup against Iona or Iowa State, if the Boilermakers do advance.
