The Big Ten's No. 3 seeded team in Indianapolis has now been selected to the 2016 NCAA Tournament and officially know their place in this year's bracket. The Maryland Terrapins went 25-8 overall, 12-6 in Big Ten regular season play, and 1-1 in the Big Ten Tournament with a win over Nebraska and a loss to Michigan State. Maryland was led by All-Big Ten second team member Melo Trimble and All-Big Ten third team member Diamond Stone.
The Terrapins were selected as a No. 5 seed in the South Region. They will face South Dakota State in the Round of 64 with a potential matchup with California or Hawaii in the Round of 32 if the Terps advance.
