Reggie Lynch has been medically cleared to resume all basketball related activities, according to Jon Rothstein. Lynch is expected to greatly contribute to the Gophers this year and may even start depending on how quickly he can work back into shape after the injury.
Minnesota's Reggie Lynch (knee) has been fully cleared for all basketball related activities, per Richard Pitino.

A couple weeks ago, Richard Pitino was hopeful Lynch would be back soon and now his (hopefully) starting center is back. Lynch will most certainly add size and toughness to the frontcourt. Last year the Gophers survived with small lineups, but having Lynch will bolster the unit and allow others to play their more natural position (Jordan Murphy).
This is a piece of good news for Minnesota to start the season and it can’t come soon enough. Lynch’s off season has had two interruptions (suspicion of criminal sexual conduct, no charges filed and the knee injury).
The hope for Pitino and the Gophers has to be to return the focus to the court. Which, admittedly, hasn’t been very good either, but there’s hope and maybe even reason for quiet optimism.
Minnesota’s season begins on November 11th against Louisiana-Lafayette.
