The first Hawkeye is off the board with the Washington Wizards selecting Iowa's Aaron White. During his career, White played a total of four seasons in Iowa City and was named to the All-Big Ten team during the 2014-15 season. The Hawkeyes made the NCAA Tournament in each of White's last two seasons with the team.
The Wizards are a competitive team in the Eastern Conference that could potentially compete for the conference title in the coming years if star guard John Wall can continue to emerge. White is the second player from Iowa to be drafted in the last two years.
