It only makes sense that this countdown includes a medley of buzzer beaters and we're set to see another two today and tomorrow. Tying into the number 60 is a relatively recent game between Wisconsin and Michigan back in February 2013. And sorry Michigan fans, I'm not picking on you but this one might sting a little, though not as bad as the Evan Turner shot.
Anyway, Wisconsin was hosting the #3 ranked Michigan Wolverines in a pivotal game down the stretch as Wisconsin was only riding a 16-7 record. In a tight game Michigan seemingly delivered the dagger when Tim Hardaway Jr. nailed a three with a little over two seconds left. No one told Ben Brust the game was supposed to be over, though, nailing a runner from just past halfcourt:
But wait, we still have overtime for Michigan to pull one out...right?
Well in true Big Ten fashion the two teams each scored two points heading into the final minute. Then this happened:
The best thing about the clutch three pointers by Brust? An ecstatic Bo Ryan showed excitement on the bench, something Badger forward Mike Bruesewitz noticed.
"You know when he shows some emotion, you've done something pretty special," Brusewitz stated.
It's nice to know Bo Ryan is a human capable of emotion, unlike the cruel soulless vampire some of our readers have made him out to be in the comments last season.
