Three-star 2015 shooting guard Dupree McBrayer commits to Minnesota

McBrayer gives Minnesota the 18th best class of 2015, per 247Sports

USA TODAY Sports

Minnesota Golden Gophers coach Richard Pitino continued his success in his first full offseason behind the bench with the announcement Friday that three-star shooting guard Dupree McBrayer had committed.

McBrayer joins four-star point guard Kevin Dorsey as Minnesota's second commit of the 2015 class. Per 247Sports, McBrayer moves Minnesota's 2015 class rank from 40th place to 18th place, fifth in the Big Ten behind Ohio State (#3), Illinois (#11), Michigan State (#12), and Penn State (#13).

As his film shows, McBrayer has great explosiveness in going to the basket, and is a high-quality passer. He and Kevin Dorsey should prove to be a very formidable backcourt for the Gophers.

With Minnesota still being the crystal ball favorite for four-star power forward Alex Illikainen, the Gophers could very well be looking at a Top 10 class next season if he commits.
