Illinois is trying to get a strong start with the 2017 in state recruiting class extending scholarship offers to the top two players out of Illinois for 2017, PG Nojel Eastern and PF Jeremiah Tillman. They also continued the trend of offering scholarships to players from Canada, when they extended an offer to SG Christian David.
Nojel Eastern
The 6'3" PG out of Evanston IL, is considered the best PG prospect in the state of Illinois for 2017. Eastern averaged 8.8 points and 2.3 assists as a freshman at Evanston High School. He currently holds offers from Illinois and Bradley, while a number of other Big Ten schools have showed interest, including Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio State and Northwestern. His stock has been steadily rising this summer, as he plays with AAU team Meanstreets.

Jeremiah Tillman
Jeremiah Tillman is a 6'10" 220 pound prospect out of East St Louis Illinois. Tillman has a very raw offense skill set at this point, but has the size and strength to dominate in the paint. He showed recently at the Nike Elite 100 camp, that he can be a force inside, altering shots and hitting the glass.

Christian David
Christian David is a 6'5" SG out of Ontario Canada. He is considered the number two prospect out of Canada for the class of 2017. He is an excellent shooter that can fill it up from anywhere on the floor. He also showed very high basketball IQ, playing at every position during the recent NPH Showcase in Toronto. He currently plays AAU ball for S-Elite and his stock will certainly continue to rise as more American talent evaluators get to see him play this summer.
