Minnesota picked up their first commitment for the 2015 class when top 100 PG Keving Dorsey chose the Gophers over fellow Big Ten teams Maryland and Nebraska. Dorsey a 5'11" guard out of Fairfax, Va is considered a four star talent and is ranked 84 overall by rivals.com. He has had a very successful summer playing for Team Takeover in the Nike EYBL, averaging 12.5 points, 2.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Dorsey visited the Minnesota campus at the end of June and decided to commit after Richard Pitino watched him all week at the Ty Lawson camp.
