The Wildcats have picked up a commitment from a member of the class of 2015 when Ohio power forward Derek Pardon decided to join Chris Collins and staff in Evanston. Pardon is the second member of Northwestern's 2015 recruiting class joining 3* Jordan Ash. Pardon was also being recruited by Dayton, Pittsburgh, and Xavier.
Pardon is 3* recruit according to Rivals. Kevin Trahan from Inside Northwestern had a nice piece on Pardon posted earlier today. His piece is linked here. Here are a few quotes from Derek about committing to the Wildcats:
Pardon: "They told me how I would fit into the system. It was important: They're very thin on the front line." #Northwestern

Pardon: "I'm someone very defensive-minded, with energy... Someone who crashes the boards." Yes.
