News broke earlier this afternoon that junior to be Peter Jurkin would be transferring from Indiana. Jurkin had mixed success in Bloomington, but figured to be an important contributor in a relatively thin frontcourt. The Hoosiers not only lost Noah Vonleh to the NBA in the offseason, but also lost Luke Fischer to transfer midway through the season. This puts added pressure on an already important year for Tom Crean and the program.
Here is the news breaking:

Jurkin only played in 8 games as a sophomore for the Hoosiers. His contributions were relatively limited, but many figured his role would increase next season. Jurkin was rated as a 3* recruit by 247Sports before arriving on campus, but his raw size (7'0") made him an interesting prospect.
BTP will keep you updated as more information becomes available and where Jurkin intends to transfer is announced.
