2015 3-Star Small Foward Isaiah Moss Commits To Iowa

Iowa's Class of 2015 continues to grow with the commitment of the Chicago native.

Iowa picked up a commitment from 2015 three-star small forward Isaiah Moss (Chicago, Ill.) on Sunday, according to multiple reports. For the Hawkeyes, Moss becomes their fourth commit in the Class of 2015, joining fellow small forwards Brandon Hutton (also a Chicago native) and Ahmad Wagner, along with shooting guard Andrew Fleming. Moss, who chose Iowa over Auburn and DePaul was ranked the eighth best player from Illinois in the class. Iowa's Class of 2015 is now 61st in the nation, but still 10th in the Big Ten, which shows how great the conference has been from a recruiting standpoint.

Simeon has long been a basketball powerhouse in Chicago, going back to the days of Anthony Davis and Derrick Rose, but Moss was not on any national recruiting lists until earlier this year. Last season, he mostly came off the bench and only averaged five points per game. It wasn't until a big summer on the AAU circuit that schools finally started to take notice. It is very possible that Iowa got a player who will continue developing this season at Simeon and will look like a real diamond in the roughy the time he arrives in Iowa City .

Moss was on his official visit to Iowa this weekend, and was able to see the Hawkeyes defeat Northwestern 48-7. When asked why he chose Iowa, Moss told Andrew Kulha of 247Sports the following, "I felt like it was a great fit for me, the way they play, I'm looking forward to getting up and down the court in transition". The second half of that quote is referring to Iowa's fast break style of offense.
