Did you guys catch that?
I know a number of people have been more preoccupied with college football, MLB playoffs and another Thursday Night Football blowout, but this past Friday was the first official day of fall practice as we head into the home stretch for the college basketball season.
So now it'll lead to plenty of preseason media talk and a whole lot of 'the same things you hear every year,' but the reality is it does mean the season is about to commence. And this year should be an exciting one, with most of the programs up top breaking in a bunch of fresh faces, young up and coming teams like Iowa and Nebraska, a dominating Wisconsin (this year's Sparty) and a couple of programs looking to bounce back after a disappointing season or two (oh hey Purdue and Indiana).
Anyways, a few quick notes. Starting off with the Hawkeyes, who will have new jerseys this season:

Also, a few schools (Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State) have held media events already. Here's a summary from Thomas that went up on Thursday.
That being said, it looks like we'll start to see some answers to questions pertaining to teams rosters, lineups and so on. This month will also be a busy month here at BTP, with our team previews, top Big Ten players list and cumulative season preview all set to start picking up speed in the near future.
