Today's version of Powerlinks is a bit of a struggle because tonight's been a hot mess of college football, running and bourbon chicken. Nonetheless, with Indiana's football team scoring more than most Big Ten basketball programs, I've managed to find some for the links.
Big Ten announces conference schedule
As mentioned above, the Big Ten finally released their conference schedule. If you want to look at a print out of the schedule, the conference website has a complete listing here. The conference season will start off with a quadruple header on New Years Eve with Ohio State visiting Purdue. The games following will include Indiana at Illinois, Michigan State at Penn State and Nebraska at Iowa. The most noticeable game early in conference play will be when Michigan State heads out to Bloomington on January 4th, the second conference game for both teams. We will most likely have a more thorough write-up on the schedule within the week, but BTP staffer tbeindit did cover some of the questionable single plays previously announced.
Speaking of the Big Ten conference schedule, ESPN recently announced the games they are covering as well. ESPN will kick off their Big Ten conference play coverage with the Purdue/Ohio State and Indiana/Illinois games on December 31st. ESPN will cover Big Ten games on ESPN, ESPN 2 and ESPNU, with Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State and Iowa being featured the most often at eight times. ESPN will also cover seven Indiana, Wisconsin and Penn State games, five games for Purdue, Northwestern, and Nebraska, four games for Illinois and only a mere two games for Minnesota.

Also, if you're unfamiliar with the sites linked above, I'd recommend either bookmarking them or adding them to your RSS feeds (as well as the other Big Ten SBN sites). I've been reading the sites on the network for awhile and they do a remarkable job covering each specific team.
UM Hoops / Inside the Hall continue on their Top 25 Players list
#20-16 include Penn State's D.J. Newbill, Michigan State's Branden Dawson, Michigan's Nik Stauskas, Purdue's A.J. Hammons and Iowa's Roy Marble. The list is starting to heat up a bit as all five guys detailed in this post will be pivotal to their teams success, especially true for Hammons and Marble. Hammons has potential to be one of the conferences best players if he can put in the effort, while Marble is looking to help Iowa find it's way back to the NCAA tournament.
Watch the construction of Nebraska's new arena
Nebraska will play in Pinnacle Bank Arena in 2013-14, their brand new stadium that is looking so impressive Nebraska was able to sell out all of their home games for 2013. Their basketball program may be unimpressive, but they definitely have an impressive arena to call their home. Recently, a video has been posted showing an overview of the construction of the arena.
