D.J. Williams Commits To Illinois

Today, Illinois picked up its first commitment in the 2015 recruiting class from D.J. Williams.  Williams is listed at 6'7" and 203 lbs.  He comes out of Chicago and is rated as a 4* recruit according to 247Sports.  This is a major haul for Groce and staff and vaults the Illini to #2 in the Big Ten team rankings for 2015.  Here is what ESPN had to say about Williams and I've included a nice highlight video below:

"I think he’s a wing player that can score," Rankin said. "He’s got great length. He’s got a terrific mid-range game. He’s active and he’s got tremendous upside. He’ll be an excellent wing scorer in the Big Ten. That’s a tremendous get for them, especially from another instate, Chicago high school power."
