Indiana's Christian Watford Breaks Hand, Out Indefinitely

The Hoosiers will be without their top two players for the rest of the season. Weeks after Maurice Creek had season-ending knee surgery to repair a stress fracture, Christian Watford breaks his hand and has to have season-ending surgery to fix it.

This is a big blow to Indiana, who is looking for another Top 25 home upset today. Now, it seems as if winning that game will be almost impossible against Minnesota.

It couldn't have come at a worse time for the Hoosiers with Verdell Jones III listed as day to day with knee inflammation.

Now, the rebuilding process in Bloomington looks to get a little trickier. They were expecting finish this year strong and make an NIT push, but with players falling left and right in Bloomington, it doesn't seem possible.

Tom Crean issued this statement earlier:

"We just move, we move forward, there's no way around it, there's no woe in me. We feel for him because he's coming off his best week. He was absolutely relentless on Sunday. He was a huge part of why we had the game that we had. You take your leading scorer and your leading rebounder and a guy that can make shots and make plays the way he can, it's going to affect your team. But there's no choice tomorrow night. At 6:30 tomorrow night, we have to be ready to go."
