Six Big Ten Players Named To Midseason Wooden Award List

The John R. Wooden Award Midseason Top 30 was announced on Thursday and the Big Ten is represented by six players.

Purdue's JaJuan Johnson is averaging 19.6 points and and 8.5 rebounds this season for the Boilermakers as well as an impressive 2.4 blocked shots per game and was named to this list.. His teammate E'Twaun Moore was also made the list. He is averaging 19.3 points 5.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists for Purdue this season.

Wisconsin's Jon Leuer is the sole Badger representative on the list. He is averaging 19.3 points and 7.3 rebounds in 2010-2011.

Demetri McCamey represents Illinois on the list. The senior is averaging 16.3 points, 7.3 assists and 3.3 rebounds for the Fighting Illini this season and has keyed their 12-3 start.

Northwestern's John Shurna, presently hobbled by an ankle injury, is the Wildcats' representative on the mid season list. The forward is averaging 21.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists in Evanston this year.

Lastly, breakout freshman Jared Sullinger represents Ohio State on the list. The forward averages a double-double with 18.1 and 10.2 rebounds.
