Big Ten Today: 12/21/2010

Five Big Ten games are on tap tonight. Purdue and Ohio State should win with ease. Penn State, Iowa and Northwestern have a little more of a challenge. Feel free to comment here during the games, I'll be here.

Maine at Penn State: 5:00pm ET (BTN.com): Maine has been playing tough teams, which has prepared them for this Big Ten battle. Maine will challenge Penn State. Penn State hasn't done too bad so far this year. I think this will be a really close game down to the wire.

IPFW at #13 Purdue: 6:30pm ET (BTN): I expect this to be a game for about 10 minutes but after that Purdue will kick it into gear. I think IPFW has the potential to challenge the Boilermakers, but Purdue should win with ease.

Louisiana Tech at Iowa: 8:00pm ET (BTN.com): This should be an Iowa W. Iowa has played tougher teams than Louisiana Tech, so you really can't look at records in this game. I expect Iowa to run away with it late.

UNC-Asheville at #2 Ohio State: 8:30pm ET (BTN): Really no question of who wins here. Ohio State blows out UNC-Asheville and they could probably do it blindfolded. OSU has become a serious national title threat. Buckeyes roll in this one.

Northwestern at St. John's: 9:30pm ET (MSG): This could be quite the game. It could go down to the wire. Either of these teams could win. I will definitely be tuned into this one. Can Northwestern remain unbeaten??
