Maryland takes another hit as 4* center Travon Reed will not enroll at Maryland this fall. There were academic issues invoving Reed and he was not able to enroll. Clearly, losing out on a prospect ranked in the Top 100 by 247Sports is not going to be something easily overcome.
The good news for Maryland fans is that Michal Cekovsky is also committed in the 2014 class and has plenty of size to play at center if needed. He was rated as a 4* by the 247Composite.
BTP will have more information on this report over the weekend.
An update: The Baltimore Sun is reporting Reed was arrested Wednesday night in College Park http://t.co/p1eQb0ShVi
