Big Ten Network To Feature "The Journey" As Part Of Sunday Night Lineup

Since the launch of the Big Ten Network, Big Ten fans have grown accustomed to original programming from the channel that features their favorite teams. That programming will continue this winter with a decided basketball twist as the network announced the format for its Sunday night lineup yesterday.

CHICAGO - The Big Ten Network's full Sunday night lineup debuts Jan. 9, with brand new episodes of The Journey: Big Ten Basketball 2011, Big Ten Basketball and Beyond and Big Ten Icons, presented by Discover, immediately after the network's weekly Sunday basketball telecast. Big Ten Icons returns with the debut of Icon No. 9, Purdue's Rick Mount.

"Sunday night on the Big Ten Network offers fans an all-encompassing look at Big Ten Basketball, and there's something for everyone," Big Ten Network President Mark Silverman said. "The Journey takes fans on an emotional ride for 10 weeks and captures the season's highs and lows from the perspective of the coaches and players. Big Ten Basketball and Beyond, with its broader perspective, examines how the Big Ten fits into the national picture. And Big Ten Icons continues to look back at the greatest players to ever participate in the conference's 100-year history."
